Swamp Dragon Notice

We've received reports of players who have dyed their Swamp Dragon armor deeds with the dyes of Tokuno, and then created neon pets. These dyes were not intended to be used in this manner and those players with neon pets will find their swampies reverted to iron in the near future.

Slime Event Issues

We just wanted you to know that we're aware that some slimes in the Slime Event have not been moving on properly, or giving all the hues that they were supposed to. We're currently working on a fix for theses issues and we will extend the Slime Event as necessary so everyone has the time to fully enjoy it. Please keep an eye here on the Herald for updates about the slimes!

Bank Renovation: Designers Wanted!

The 2d and KR clients have been updated to version 6.0.12. This update includes:

Resolved an issue with Norton 2009 wiping the configuration file. The configuration file is now saved in My Documents.
Cliloc fixes.
Misc. gump fixes for the KR client.
Resolved an issue causing a Legacy client crash.
Various in-game help links fixed.

December Developer Letter

For the record what I am about to write is “so not my gig”, but I’ll endeavor to push through it.

I wanted to pass on that with the recent announcement of earning from Electronic Arts that the Ultima Online team is still intact and still pressing forward on both the Stygian Abyss Expansion, and supporting the Live Game. In addition, we are still moving forward with the Event Moderator Program. I know it’s been a long time coming, but as you may have read we’re going through more than a bit from our side these days.

Login Issue

Halloween Event

Latency Issues

For those of you who are experiencing latency issues we wanted to let you know that we've identified an issue with an individual telecom company whose network is affecting performance of players whose service is routed through their network at any point, particularly on the East Coast. We're sorry for the inconvenience everyone and thank you for your patience as our team continues to work with this provider to resolve the issue.

Event Moderator Program

Hi everyone,

We’ve had some great submissions for the Event Moderator Program so far, and we’ve seen a slew of applications.

I would like to make a request. Please remember that we are reviewing everyone’s applications extensively, but also remember that we’re trying to do a very thorough job. Please understand that we have been putting this together for over four months. We ask you wait a few more days as we go through the almost 100 applications we have received so far. Afterwards, we will post the names and send out all of the documentation necessary to complete the process as independent contractors support UO:Live.

There will be no special consideration given for former EMs. Previous procedures, policies, and contractual obligations are void for this iteration of the Event Moderator program.
